A zoom compact with a 38 to 115mm lens, sold as the Sure Shot Z115 in the Americas and the Prima Super 115 in Europe.
The lens is ten elements in nine groups, one of them aspherical, and opens to f/3.6 at the wide end. It focuses to 0.6m, and to 0.4m in macro.
Focus is three-point autofocus on a near-infrared beam and can be prefocused. Exposure is fully automatic: a programmed shutter running from 2 seconds to 1/1200 depending on mode and focal length, metered across three zones over EV 2 to 21. There is no aperture or shutter control, and a dial on the back picks a scene mode instead.
At 350g on two CR123A cells it is a lot of camera to carry for a compact. The cost of the 3x range is the long end, where the maximum aperture falls to f/8.5 and you are on flash or fast film well before 115mm.
